Watermelon Wednesdays in West Whately

From the south: get off I-91 at the Whately/Hatfield exit. Take Route 5 (West St.) north to your first four-way intersection and turn left onto Mountain Dr. Cross back over I-91 and turn right onto Pantry Rd. Stay on Pantry. It becomes Chestnut Plain Rd. in Whately. Turn left onto Westbrook Rd. Continue to Haydenville Rd. Turn left onto Haydenville Rd. Take your next right onto Conway Rd. It becomes dirt then becomes paved again as it V's into Webber Rd. Bear right and go across a small bridge, then bear left and continue through the S-curve. The chapel will be on your left as you start a gradual uphill on Conway Rd.

From the north: get off I-91 at the Whately/Sunderland exit (the truck stop exit). Turn right onto Rt. 5 South until you come to Christian Lane. (At the intersection with the Castaways Lounge) Turn right onto Christian Lane and follow it into Whately center. Turn right at the Whately Inn onto Haydenville Rd. Keep on Haydenville Rd. for about 2 miles. Turn right onto Conway Rd (It's the third right after the Whately Inn). Stay on Conway Rd. You will merge into another road and go over a bridge. Bear left after the bridge, then bear right as you go through an "S" curve. The Chapel will be on your left right after you come out of the "S" curve.
